The 7-Food Philosophy for Liver Care, from a Gut Specialist

by admin477351

A gastroenterologist has shared his “7-food philosophy” for natural liver care. This approach focuses on incorporating seven key fruits and vegetables that work together to support the organ’s complex functions.

The philosophy starts with the gut-liver axis, for which the expert recommends cranberries. Their prebiotic polyphenols foster a healthy gut, which is “linked to a healthier liver.”

Next, the philosophy covers metabolic health. Raspberries (fiber and anthocyanins) and apples with cinnamon (pectin and other compounds) are recommended to help regulate blood sugar, insulin sensitivity, and lipid levels.

A key part of the philosophy is fat processing, which is where beetroot comes in. Its betaine content “helps the liver process and move fat out of liver cells.” Its nitrates also support blood flow, along with watermelon and lime.

Finally, the philosophy includes anti-inflammatory support from pomegranates and blood vessel support from strawberries with 70% dark chocolate. Together, these seven foods provide a comprehensive, natural approach to liver wellness.
